Our first impressions of this hotel were actually quite okay as the location is perfect, the Check In process went fast and friendly and the room was big and actually very nice ( apart from the fact that it was not spring-cleaned ). It's also been a nice touch that we could use the in-house rickshaw for free in the first evening to go to a nearby restaurant.
However, during the stay we faced several annoying circumstances which made the overall stay unpleasant.
As there were not enough towels available in our room, we've asked the room service to bring some more to our room. Unfortunately, we had to call them several times until they finally brought it.
We were woken up on Sunday morning 08:00 am as the cleaner started using the vacuum cleaner to clean the executive floor at this time ...
The 'international' breakfast was provided by the on-site Indian restaurant. The restaurant itself was doubtless very good ( we had a great lunch at this place ) if you expect Indian food, however since it's an Indian restaurant ... The breakfast was indian and not international at all! We'd appreciate if the hotel wouldn't call this an international breakfast, but inform their guests correctly in advance what they can expect when deciding to pay for the breakfast or not.
The hotel offered a not so cheap trip ( around USD 100.00 ) to the floating markets - without mentioning this market actually does not exist anymore! We finally arrived at a tourist spot where local people tried to sell accessory to the perplex tourists ( we were obviously not the only guys with other expectations on that market ... ), however this had nothing to do with the traditional floating markets of Bangkok.
It is no problem at all if those markets simply do not exist anymore, however we would expect the hotel mentions this toward their guests and stops offering those tours.
The in-room dining was unenjoyable as the seafood Pad Thai was obviously prepared with old seafood. In no way we could eat this.
Also the massage service was below our expectations. The room was cold and uncomfortable, there was no music to relax and the masseuse were talking to each other permanently during the massage.
During the Check Out we were complaining about all the above mentioned circumstances, however this 'fell on deaf ears'. Even though the staff recognized our complaints, we did not get any excuse, much less any kind of compensation.
Due to all the above facts, I would not book this hotel again.
