A breath-taking experience... We were there to meet my publisher - he chose the location and could not have picked a more enjoyable location. We had the choice of many coffee shops and/or restaurants, my wife made the most of the fashion houses - and I had a wonderful time admiring the plants and flowers of Thailand. We WILL be back!!!

This shopping mall in the eastern part of Bangkok is huge. Together with the more new and connected Promenade it is even bigger.
Over the last 15 years or so Fashion Island has gone through a huge metamorphosis. While it exists for a long time already the inside nowadays look brand new. The four floors of the shopping mall offer a wide variety of shops from a big supermarket (Big C, Tops), HomePro, Starbucks to fashion and electronics. The top floor has most of the electronics as well as a food court. Also a range of other restaurants can be found here. The lower floors have a lot of fashion shops. In the shopping mall you also find a big cinema.
Through a short bridge to cross the road for the parking you can now also enter the Promenade. This is a new mall that only exists since the last years. The Promenade has lots of nice restaurants and some specialty shops. The supermarket in the Promenade offers a selection of goods you might not find in the usual Thai supermarket (more international offerings). On top of the Promenade you can find another cinema.
Parking - some reviews complain about the parking space at Fashion Island. Note that there are parking buildings around both the Promenade and Fashion Island. Traffic around the place could be had at some times but over the recent years they have been working hard to make access and departure more easy by building access bridges that directly get you either onto Ramintra Road or even the ring road. When coming to Fashion Island/The Promenade a new small tunnel also improves access. Customers in need to go to Nawamin Road now also have an easy departure.
In the parking building new lights indicate free parking spots although you can't always trust them. They are not 100% reliable.
For an afternoon shopping time followed by a nice dinner Fashion Island and The Promenade have it all. If you register at the information desk on the 1st floor you can also get free internet access.
I enjoy visiting the place even just for a coffee at one of the many coffee shops and then just sit and watch people.

Passed by this Neighbourhood mall on a Sunday afternoon and was searching almost 45 minutes looking for a parking lot with my friend. Level 1 and 2 is out of bound to normal visitors and only reserved for VIPs of the management. Saw hundreds of empty lots with no VIP parking there. The mall is discouraging normal people from coming to shop here except only the VIPs. PS: Try not coming here on the weekends, you'll waste time finding carpark spaces.
