Before staying at this hotel, the most important thing to do is to print out the location map and pass it to your taxi driver. Even then he will scratch his head furiously. Once reach the hotel, pick up the Taxi Card. That will be the lifesaver for the entire stay.

Pros :-
1) Hotel is spacious, clean and modern looking. The front desk is quite friendly with the exception of one surly old man. Please seek their assistance to write down in Thai language your desired destination and then pass it to the security guard sitting conveniently in front of the lobby. He will then hail a taxi to your next destination
2) The street along the hotel has 2 convenient store chains : 7-Eleven & Tesco Lotus which has most of what you need. On mornings, there are street food stalls selling coffee and at night, selling BBQ sticks and other local delicacies. Just give it a try. There is a local cafe with English language nearby with quite good food as well in case language becomes a major issue.
3) Despite being in outer Bangkok, it is still near to Chatuchak market and other major tourist attractions as it is situated next to the tollway.

Cons :-
1) Not near any BTS or MRT station. On the map it looks to be near Sutthisan MRT and BTS Saphan-khwai, however in reality it is a tedious 15 minutes walk along the streets with no clear landmarks to determine your actual location. Just spare yourself the hassle and take the taxi which leads to number 2
2) Traffic in Bangkok is a hellish experience. As M2 is situated next to the tollway and on the outer parts of Bangkok, it is not a popular taxi destination and be prepared to negotiate with the taxi driver to use meter. Occasionaly you might need to fork out 45THB for the taxi driver to use the tollway to cut down the time travel due to the traffic. Taxi from Siam Paragon/Terminal 21 back to hotel will not exceed THB100.
3) Wi-fi is limited to 1 account per ID. It is quite a hassle to relog-in everytime
4) The hassle of needing to update the room keycard daily to enter the room.

If not for its inconvenient location, M2 will be a good place to stay again. I will move in to a hotel with near BTS/MRT access next time.

Hubby and I have been stayted at M2 De Bangkok for 3 nights, staffs there are very friendly. But is hard to locate this hotel as not all taxi driver know how to go to this hotel, so we have asked the hotel staff to write us the hotel name in Thai language, yet some of taxt driver still don't know how to get there. whoever that stay in this hotel, must recognize the way to get to the hotel, as we are the one that directed the drive to drive us back :(. It is about 20 mins walk from Hotel to Sutthisan MRT, but not a walking distance to Saphan Kwai BTS. if take taxi from hotel to Sutthisan or Saphan Khwai needs about 50 to 70 Thai Baht. The room is quite big and classy, but bear in the mind, the bed and table might shake if the big vehicles passing by :(

A beautiful modern hotel with great design. The staff are very friendly; however, their English is limited. The rooms, lobby and restaurant is beautifully decorated. The only problem is the location is a little bit off the MRT. It's about 1km away to be exact, but can be easily transported to by a motor bike taxi. I would stay here again!

Stayed in Oct 2011. Once inside the room, it has a little classy feel. Room was very clean and staffs were very helpful and well mannered. Breakfast has a decent variety for its class but most importantly, tasty. I've tried the room service from the local food menu and they were good.

Convenience stores and street food available within walking distance. Taxis to big shopping malls easily available and the hotel staffs happily hailed one for me each I requested for one, and they were not expensive.

There's a small local hair salon behind the hotel who would wash and blow my very long hair nicely for something like USD3.00 :D

This hotel was very nice. Brand new, good price, good staff. I would recommend it to anyone. We showed up one day early and they gave us a room with no trouble and for a great price. The rooms are nice and have just want you need. The on site cafe had the best pad thai I have ever had.

Room tip: Top floors are better since they have less nosie
