“Perfect stay”

We have stayed at luxury hotels around the world and been happy but this place is special because of the personal service we received. The room, the facilities, the dining, the bar are all magnificent and worthy of praise but what ties it together for us is the extra effort taken to service a valued guest not a client but a guest.

This is a paradise. Food is good and the service just like any other in Thailand are very good.

The location is centralised and yet quiet. Just need to walk out from that lane and there you go, Erawan just less than 5 minutes walk.

There you have so many malls and you can have a long walk to Siam Paragon and BKK too. We walked on top of the pedestrian bridges which is safer and easier and we took a Tuk Tuk back. Mini bar and wireless is free. The room is large, clean and romantic as well

Breakfast is wonderful with different varieties every day. Will be back next month

Overall it was a very disapointing experience. This hotel had very high ratings and was listed as 5 star. It is definately not 5 star. For the price you can do MUCH better in Bangkok. The location is not that good. Its on a fairly deserted side street. So there are no stores or restaurants nearby. Its about a 10 minute walk to Central World, SIam Paragon. You might like that it is close enough to walk, yet fairly quiet, however the emptiness of the street is a disadvantage. The hotel has a dark, businesslike decor. Its a bit too dark and gloomy and you would have no idea that you are in Thailand if you didnt know it. The one good part of the hotel is the room layout. There is a wall in the middle of the room that creates a small bedroom are and a desk/tv area. However the electricy at the desk didnt work.
One major disapointment was the breakfast. Hands down the worst I have ever had in thailand. I have been to at least 10 hotels in Bangkok, some at this price range and others at lower price ranges. This is by far the worst. Worse than hotels that are 1/2 the price.
The only reason to go to this hotel is if you are here for business and like the room setup. Otherwise, you can do much better at other places

We stayed for 7 nights in Jun/Jul 2012. The service in the hotel was excellent right from the moment we entered. We could relax at the reception area while the staff took care of the check-in procedures and our luggages. They arranged for a spa session for us right that evening (part of the accommodation package).

The housekeeping was prompt and the mini bar is free and replenished daily (with 2 bottles of beer and 4 bottles of soft drinks with assortment of snacks and fruits). We hardly took much anyway, but we appreciated the generosity of the hotel.

We stayed at the Studio Suite on the first night and they upgraded us to the Urban Suite for the rest of our stay. Both suites are great, so it's not really necessary to get upgraded. What I like is that they do not provide tiny plastic bottles of toiletries. Instead they have nice full sized bath foam, shampoo, conditioner and lotion... with a note urging guest to purchase from the spa if they are interested.

On the contrary to previous reviews about limited choice for breakfast, we felt that the breakfast spread was of good variety for a boutique hotel. There were mixture of several hot dishes, cold dishes, cereals, pastries, salads, fruits, drinks etc. They even offer free ala carte orders of eggs (of guests' choice) and ham/sausages. Of course it'll not be reasonable to expect large buffet spread similar to those larger hotels.

The location is rather central and convenient - a station away from Siam shopping district, next to the golf course, near lumpini park and stone's throw from Rachatdamri BTS station. Don't expect much of a view from your room, cos it's surrounded by other hotels and private high rise apartments. What we dislike is the path from the main road/BTS station leading to the hotel. The road is uneven and was often flooded, which makes walking difficult. However, it'll be no issue for travel by car or taxi.

The overall experience was great. Sign up for the SLH (Small Luxurious Hotel) membership before you book, which we didn't (and only realized the affiliation after), to get the benefits.

Room Tip: The Studio Suite is as good as the Urban Suite, so there's no need for upgrade. The Studio Suit...

Tried this for the first time, having stayed in other hotels in the area. The location is good: 3 minutes walk from Ratchadamti Skytrain and close enough to walk to CentralWorld. The room (a standard one) was comfortable and I liked the way the large bathroom, living area, and bedroom, all had separate sliding doors so could be cut off from each other o left as open plan. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. I used the spa a couple of times and found the prices reasonable for a hotel spa, and the treatment was good. The swimming pool is not large, and gets very little sun, but is long enough to swim lengths. I only ate the breakfast buffet, but that was varied and the different types of 'egg orders' were a pleasant change from the standard 'egg-station' at most hotel buffets.
