The hostel is very nice and everything is very well organized and clean. It has a place to watch TV, play video games, use computers or just relax. Downstairs there is a cafe where you can try delicious meals, work, study or interact with other guests. The staff is phenomenal!! They interact with guests, guide you, care about your well-being and do everything to make you feel comfortable. Everyone made me feel at home. I arrived as a guest and left as a friend.

This is the second time we stayed here this mon5. The first time was a twin bed room with shared bathroom. What that means is that every floor has 1 toilet stall and 3 separate shower stalls with a toilet. So lots of showers and toilets to go around. There are 3 sinks with soap dispensers outside the rooms.

The 2nd time we stayed in a 6 bed (bunk beds)mixed dorm. Our room was really quiet. No issues with anything. Clean white towel and light comforter are provided. Shoes must be taken off. Each bed has a lockable small cupboard-bring your own lock, room between the bed and th3 wall to put your stuff, privacy curtain, air con, fan and a charging outlet and light.

This is truly a very well thought out hostel and the owners, managers have done a great job.
You can store food in their fridge. They provide white bread for toasting and jam but we preferred to buy our own cereal etc.

A 10 min walk to Hua Lamohong train station and subway. Close walk to Chinatown. Great and helpful staff.

Very good hostel conveniently located a short walk from Hua Lamphong MRT and train station. Staff friendly and speak good english. The dorm rooms are clean, comfortable, the beds have curtains and a small storage area (non secure). Decent shower facilities although they were in the same cubicle as the toilets so the toilet floors were always wet. There is a communal space, a kitchen area and free drinking water is available. Slippers were provided. Would return.

First of all, this hostal is near Hua Lamphong train station, the staff was friendly and helpful. But I asked them specifically, twice, if it was okay to leave my belongings locked in a locker, two times, I asked. They said it was fine. I come back, and find all my personal items, and my EXPENSIVE items, wallet, passport, laptop, etc laying out on the floor in the lobby. "oh cleaning staff cut it, not our fault' they said. So they cut my nice combo lock, gave me a cheap 50 cent key lock replacement that can be picked with a toothpick, and offered no compensation or anything.

The beds themselves were pretty nice and the AC was good, but the hostel is in the middle of a bunch of metal working shops, absolutely nothing in the area.

I am now in my second stay, this time two weeks, at the Fun Cafe and Hostel and it's great. From the moment I first walked in, the staff have been amazing - genuine, friendly. They are always pleased to see you, nothing is a problem, they are super keen to ensure that your stay at Dun Cafe and indeed Bangkok and Thailand is the best you can experience. The hostel itself is top notch. I shared a mixed dorm the first time and felt completely at ease. The beds are very comfortable with a good weighted duvet, clean linen, thick privacy curtain. bedside light, with a space beside your bed and the wall to put your luggage and a lockable side table as well ( you need your own padlock), and all rooms have air conditioning and fans. The bathrooms are funky, spacious and clean. Upstairs is a wonderful rooftop sitting area with a free washing machine. The reception area on the first floor is a secure access, there is a small kitchenette with fridge/freezer, microwave, plates, toaster, kettle,
and of the reception area is a well presented TV and computer room although is was used more for lounging round in as it is so comfortable. The cafe below is stunning and due to open soon. The location is within a ten minute walk to the metro which is great when you need to catch a 6:30am train or go to the weekend market. 2x 7/11 are close by as is the post office, water access to the ferry and the frequent markets that happen down the street. The price is great, It was like a haven for me as a solo traveller, plenty of room for families (family room or smaller bunk rooms would be ideal for you guys), a great set up for older people..it's upmarket at comparable prices. I love it...it's a great place to come back to at the end of a days exploring.
