This is a really good aquarium and shows alot of the Aquatic life that is found across the waters of thailand from the west coast to the east coast. ( except the penguins). it was a really good day out and would recomend it for people who are not brave enough to try scuba diving... however if you are already a diver or want to try, miss this out and go see the underwater world for yourself and you will have a far better time seeing alot of the same things that are in the aquarium.

Took our two little 3 year olds and they loved it. To be honest.. we loved it to. We've all been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California and the World's Largest Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, but this was a little different. Atlanta is bigger and better, but Bangkok's aquarium has a different variety of species to share with the world. Massive crabs that we had never seen before are showcased, as well as some amphibians that we have never seen up close and personal and some amazing fish. It's nicely put together as well, not just a building with fish tanks inside; however, someone really put some thought into presentation, which we greatly appreciated. I would skip the Happy Fish Feet experience as the dead skin eating fish are anything but hungry unless you get there unusually early. Also, the glass bottom boat experience looked a bit of a rip off. I would suggest just doing the aquarium and taking a BTS (sky train) map that has a 20% off coupon. The aquarium in itself is good enough fun and if you want to do a real 4D or 5D movie experience, then go to the 4D/5D theater in Siam Paragon and watch a real feature film. if I could do it again, I would pack a lunch and plan to sit in the tunnel where you can walk through and see the sharks and have a nice underwater meal. There's food available but it's popcorn, cheap overpriced hot dogs and fries/chips. Oh.. there's also cotton candy and other junk food. If you have little ones, it's a really nice activity that everyone can enjoy. regular price adult admission is 900 baht. kids are 6 or 700 baht. They charged our kids. Kids over 80cm must pay. You only need one coupon per family and again the coupon for 20% off is on the BTS map that you can get at the sky train change booth.

We've been to many aquarium parks around the world, and this one was just run of the mill. We did enjoy the walking tunnels with the sharks floating around us, and the kids especially enjoyed the feeding time for the sharks. But otherwise we didn't see anything here out of the ordinary.

There wasnt a lot of things to do in Bangkok for the three year old so I brought her to the Siam Ocean World, without much expectation, especially we are from Hong Kong where we have the famous Ocean Park with a good aquarium. It came out to the a pleasant surprise. It was rather big, with a lot of sea creatures to see, the layout was very good, with crowds spreaded around without congestion. The shows were both entertaining and educational. It was completely above our expectation. My girl was very happy!

Located at the basement of Siam Paragon, Siam Ocean World is a aquarium with lots to do and see. Shows, glass bottom boat rides etc. Very suitable for children, they would be fascinated with the variety of sea creatures. Prices is 900 baht per adult, but we got a 20 per cent discount (non-residents only) if you present the BTS map (from most BTS station control) with a coupon in it, not sure if it is available all the time. Or you could get combo deals with other attractions.
