“Perfect in all respects but one”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 March 2012

Baan Dinso is a lovely oasis in the midst of hectic Bangkok. It may be called a hostel, but is far above any hostel I've ever stayed at. This charming B&B features lovingly restored rooms, great amenities, and a staff that is fantastic. The cafe serves up excellent food if you need to supplement the vast offerings of the local street stalls and restaurants. I'd like a Thai breakfast offering. Easy to catch a cab to anywhere, or explore the area on foot. Outside the normal tourist areas, so you get a pretty good feel for a Bangkok neighborhood.
The single drawback is the cats. During the day all is well, but at night be prepared for some robust howling or the occasional fight. Yes, they'll provide earplugs should you desire, but after the first night I preferred to get up, go out and shoo the offenders away.
For a few days stay, it's local color, for longer stays it could become annoying.
But I'd certainly stay here again, and wholeheartedly recommend it!

The staff of Baan Dinso is very very nice and carying and answers every question you have about visiting stuff or getting around. The whole hotel and the rooms are very clean and nicely equiped. The breakfast which is included is very good too.I would recommend the hotel to everybody who is looking for a quiet and beautiful place in the center of Bangkok in walking distance to Khaosan Road.

I love this place. I would stay here again with my girlfriend. It's not really surrounded by a touristy area which can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for.

We stayed there with our 10 month old son, in one of the bedrooms on the ground floor which has a private bathroom. The room and bathroom were a bit small (and our son slept in the bed with us), but very clean, and the staff was wonderful. The food was delicious! Its a nice little quiet place in the middle of busy Bangkok!

It is clean and comfortable, it is quite place in the middle of the noisy city. Close to the famous khao san road, 7 min. walking or so. The twin room we took was very tiny, we hardly had place to open our bags, and were surprised to see that there was no bathroom in the room but just a shared bathroom outside. I wasn't expecting this for the 70 USD paid... The shared bathroom was clean and renovated, had all the soaps etc needed but again, it is downstairs in the back yard, out of the room. I believe that the price was too high for what they provided. Didn't have the chance to eat breakfast there as checked out early in the morning, however did get a breakfast to-go.
