We came to eat here by mistake and never regret because the food is fantastic. We came back the second time. They have many options to order, the food is fresh and tasty and affordable price ( with $7 you can eat a dinner).

We went in to this place off the street without checking trip advisor and were very happily surprised. The food was lovely, very fresh tasting and full of flavour. This was our first meal in Nepal and it was a great experience.

We stopped here this afternoon to rest from the window shopping of Thamel.

A friend had recommended we try the momos when in Kathmandu so we selected the mixed veg ones, plus a bean and potato & apple salad, both of which were delicious.

We both had coffee and a honey lemonade. 994 rupees for the lot. Lovely and fresh with great service. A perfect spot for our first visit.

i visited severall times in late January and february, drawn back by the excellent food, particularly the salads and paneer pakoras.

I am yet to find anywhere in Kathmandu that has better, fresher and more interesting salads. The standard - and still largely relevant - advice is to avoid uncooked food in Nepal because of the risk of gastro troubles is part of the reason why good salads are rare: demand is low. Here, as at an increasing number of eateries, ingredients are washed in an iodine solution to make them safer. I have not had any issues after eating here and feel confident enough to return for salad after salad.

The paneer pakodas are as good as anywhere else I have had them (which is many places!) - they are delicious.

Their 'Health in a Bowl' remains a favourite too: broen rice and vegetables forming more of stew than a soup - filling and restorative after a trek.

Tea is good too. They serve Tokla which is my favourite 'standard' tea and the large pot is just that - large.

Service is good though just as anywhere else it can depend on the indiviudual. On the whole the staff were polite annd helpful including the guy who readily offered to sort out the wifi rather than give a shrug and an excuse as happened elsewhere.

One pays a little more than in the more typical tourist places in Thanel but it's worth it even if the claim that all food is organic might be marketing-speak rather than truth-speak.

The balcony is a good place ot sit as is the rooftop terrace.

I have been very often at the Green Organic Cafe and enjoyed it every time. The food is very fresh and delicious and the stuff is very friendly. When its sunny you have a great time on top of the roof terrace and can escape from the chaos in Kathamandu.
