This is my fifth time that I stay at Dalai-La hotel and again, my expérience was the BEST.
The room is always clean, and the bed is very confortable!
The staff is more than professionnal and always there to help you!
The location is right where you want to be in Tamel, every thing is close by!
When you spend all day walking in Katmandu, you are happy to go back to your hotel, to find a little paradise, quiet, and feel home. You just want to stay and eat there at dinner and breakfeast. The food is excellent and not too expensive.
I will go back there no dought!

Coming back to Dalai La feels like coming home. This is my second time staying here and my second review. This time I chose to stay here between a trip to Bhutan and some time in Kathmandu Valley. Being in the center of Thamel, the Dalai La is the perfect, most restful oasis in the heart of the busiest area of Kathmandu. The decor is a mix of traditional and modern Nepalese, feeling authentic in its simplicity. A peaceful courtyard, super helpful staff, a lovely yoga studio and clean, well appointed rooms. The Dalai La is a perfect home away from home. Highly recommended.

The Dalai-la Boutique Hotel in Thamel is a wonderful oasis in the heart of Kathmandu. The rooms are beautifully appointed, the amenities are great and they have a gym and spa.
Definitely will be back on my next trip to Kathmandu.
