I stayed in the basic rooms here about 6 dollars a night, after being in other places in kathmandu this one was great! Firstly the location means that you don't have to walk down any dark alleyways to get there (bear in mind there can be up to 16 hours of no power in kathmandu) and this made me feel a great deal safer. Secondly there is always electricity and hot showers (not all hostels have this again due to power outages). The showers and rooms were clean and everyday the staff offered to clean my room. You can also fill up your water bottles for free. The room was small but cosy and somehow very quiet! You can also take advantage of just chilling in the lawn our using the lawn cafe, which is great after the hustle and bustle of thamel. It is also has a great little feel about it, which was great after returning from a 2 week trek.
