Owner description: The Garden of Dreams, a neo classical historical garden, is situated in the midst of Kathmandu city, Nepal. The Garden's design has much in common with formal European gardens: paved perimeter paths, punctuated by pavilions, trellises, and various planting areas, surrounded by a sunken flower garden with a large pond at its center. It is an architectural landscape that encourages the visitor to stroll around and discover the Garden's treasures from many different vantage points.

I wondered around the Garden of Dreams for a bit one morning. It didn't take long to get through. It is beautifully landscaped and decorated.
I'm glad the price is only 200 rupees, as I don't think it was worth more than that.

Next to the bustle, noise and overall mindless congestion of Kathmandu´s THamel district is this little kitschy oddity. 200 NPR per tourist, 100 for kids. 50 NPR gets you an hour of internet access. There are 2 cafés with overpriced drinks. But all in all it provides a really nice place to put your feet up for a couple of hours. Very European, cursiously decadent, and a 'I cant wait to see what they will eventually do with the place' feeling to it.

Was so surprised to visit this little piece of paradise in the middle of the hustle and bustle the Themal shopping district. Lawns and gardens were enjoyed by so many people just laying in the grass enjoying the beautiful day.

Nice restaurant and a getaway from the busy streets of Tamel. You can relax on a supplied carpet in the front garden.
