If you are not lucky enough to secure a room in here, then do your best to walk in for a drink or meal on the top floor bar restau! Please ask for the cave, an underground jazz bar worth the stop! Amazing!

Very nice hotel; the new rooms are nice but it is not possible to open the windows. Junior suites with the mezzanine are really beautiful and cozy. Nice rooftop bar and restaurant with good prices and good breakfast buffet. The staff is attentive and welcoming and there is a very good atmosphere. Internet is not always working in the rooms but it is good on the rooftop. Out of the hotels where I stayed in Dakar; this was the best one.

Really cute boutique hotel in Dakar. Although I didn’t stay in the actual hotel, I ate in the rooftop terrace. The place is very cute, with comfy and beautiful décor, excellent views and a relaxed ambience. The food is really tasty but of course, as it is tapas, the portion sizes are small. Great place for a glass of wine and tapas.

The Djoloff is a good base from which to explore Dakar. It is an excellent location near the ocean with amazing views from the roof-top terrace. My room was on the inside corridor and did not have an exterior window, which made it a bit darker than I would have liked during the daytime. Otherwise, the room was decorated in a trendy but tasteful manner. The hotel is clean and the staff is welcoming. Good restaurant as well. While not the cheapest place, it is a very good value overall.

Room Tip: Even though there are nice views of the city from the hotel, note that not all rooms have a view.

This is a wonderful place with a gorgeous view of the city and the ocean from the rooftop breakfast room. It's near the medina, and is both simple and stylish. It's a perfect introduction to Dakar and Senegal, with "terranga" very much in evidence. But most of all it feels very much a part of the country. While most of the big western hotels (Raddison Blu, Sheraton Etc) feel like a homogenized international experience and are set off by gates and feel entirely apart, this place feels a very much integrated into Dakar and Senegal. I'd strongly recommend it.
