The Hostel is beautiful. Its location makes it easy to explore Windhoek by foot.Everything a backpacker might need is there, and the garden/lounge invites to hang out. Also, prices are affordable and Trips exploring Namibia can be booked.
Definitely recommend this!

Decent room. But besides that it's not that special. They say they are fully booked, but it definitely doesnt look like that. The bar was almost empty. Oh yeah and come to think of it. The bar closer at 10pm. Which is a bit weird in my opinion.

Hi Olivier

Your feedback is much appreciated. As an accommodation establishment people pay to stay so we have to respect all our guest since most of them do join safaris that leave early in the mornings if you still want to have a drink after the bar close we do have the warehouse just around the coner and it is walking distance or the staff can arrange a taxi. I'm not sure when you stayed with us but our peak season start from April - November yearly and we are a very busy hostel and is 90% of the time full, most of the groups do like to go out to restaurants so they are not really around and do activities in the day since they on holidays and want to explore our beautiful country with the time they have. I hope you can join us in the future on a Friday night because then we have a quiz & braai night and you will definitely find a lot of people at the bar. Looking forward to your visit in the future again. Cheers Rosa

I stayed at the backpackers for one night only but it was very nice. Close to supermarket. Including a free lift to Intercape Bus. Helping out with taxI arrangements at night and a nice pool to hang out during a hot summers day.

All hostels should be measured against this place. Varying room types cater to budget and luxury travelers alike.
Stayed as solo female, 3 separate nights, a different room each night: standard ensuite, standard shared BR, & honeymoon suite.

Highlights:
- Shared & ensuite bathrooms were modern and very clean with hot water.
- 24/7 reception and locked gate with high walls makes the place feel very secure, without cutting you off from the local culture you came to Namibia to experience (as some hotels in the area do).
- Rooms are clean, each person has a safe (it's not recommended to walk around Windhoek with anything but the money you need).
- Beds are comfortable. Honeymoon suite is adorable, highly recommend for couples.
- Best part: common area is indoor & outdoor, all centering around a pool, bar, and common kitchen. Includes sofas, lounge chairs, TV, communal books, "donation box" for your fellow travelers, music, and fire pit. Friendly, welcoming staff cook "local" meals nightly.
- Breakfast is simple but plentiful (good cereals, bread, juice).
- Awesome vibe & atmosphere overall.

Rooms away from common area are quieter, though most are in bed by 10 for early safaris.

Chameleon books tours and safaris all over, but book ahead. I didn't use them (Blue Crane instead) but the guides seemed professional and knowledgeable.

I have nothing negative to say; I highly recommend this place!
