From being the only couple on the balcony to a full house really made for an enjoyable evening. We were well looked after and made to feel welcome. Food was delicious and out of the ordinary and we left expressing all the flocours that we had just experienced. Definitely a return venue.

Our first visit there was last year... the place, food and service was ok. However when we tried again yesterday... The service was really bad. The restaurant was stinking and the place was a mess inside. The waiters were not friendly, slow and they can easily score zero for customer service. The starters took almost 30 mins to come on the table. We ordered spring rolls also called as 'Nem'. These tasted bad and were drenched with oil. We had way better spring rolls in other chinese restaurants in grand baie.

The seafood soup tasted foul. The sizzling lamb was not well prepared and when asked fir bread to accompany the sizzling lamb, we were served stale bread which of course we left behind.

The Fried Noodles were almong the worst we have had in mauritius and again they were dripping oil.

I would personally not recommend this place. We are not going back again

Try the Chilli crab. This is a must. Mostly Chinese cuisine.
Other plates were also delicious. Very friendly restaurant - family owned and food is sort of homemade with special touch! Service is very good as the owners are involved. They can also cater to Mauritian style cuisine. Seems to me I make at least one trip to this place every time I visit.

Above a shopping mall in Royal road. You can look out over a nice little bay on the 2nd floor.
Live crabs available - to be honest seeing them cowering in their tank made me a bit uneasy - stupid I know as I eat them but still....
We had mixed starter that was nothing like I have had before - roast chicken (tasty) 2 huge spring rolls and calamari - interesting garlic vinegar gave a good taste
Then we had cantonese rice, prawn foo yung (prawns fresh, plump and tasty), crispy chilli beef and chicken with mushroom. We should have ordered one less dish as the portions were huge and there was no way we could eat it all.
All of the above, 2 beers, 1 lemonade, 3 gins (not shy with measures) and 1 tonic - 2000 MUR
Not the best I have ever had but tasty, huge portions and probably might have been the best value if we hadn't ordered so much
