My husband and I lead a transAtlantic life and we looked for a place that would allow us to physically reconnect. Kumbali Lodge fit the bill, allowing us to walk the farm while we chatted. While we walked we soaked up the beautiful vistas. The immediate grounds are gorgeously landscaped. The room added to the romance with the large soaker tub, the secluded porch, and comfortable bed. The staff and management were attentive to our needs. The physical connection established.

Awe! This might just be one of our favourite reviews! We're so glad we could be the romantic getaway you were looking for, though in all honesty, the Malawian landscape, people and stars probably did most of the work! We wish you the very best as you continue to grow your relationship in this increasingly globalised world. Please do visit us next time you're in Lilongwe!

We stayed here while on business prepping for a film shoot. The rooms are large and the beds are very comfortable with quality mosquito netting. There are bathtubs as well as showers in the large bathrooms. The food was great and the staff were very attentive and helpful. It's secluded off a rocky road, making it a peaceful retreat out of Lilongwe.
Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Kumbali for a night in order to celebrate my birthday and everything was beyond perfect ! Not only the surroundings are beautiful - pool is from far the best in Lilongwe - and the room is comfortable but the staff is also kind and very very welcoming. Everybody was absolutely lovely with us! I especially enjoyed the surprise birthday cake in the morning as well as the fact our dinner table was set up on the mezzanine. Overall it's been a beautiful stay !

Thank you for such a great review! We're so glad we could help make your birthday special. We're also happy to hear that the world famous Malawian warmth shone through in our staff, I'm sure they will appreciate your kind words.

This lodge is like an english country house. Main building w/ restaraunt has a large veranda overlooking a big is on large green lawn w/ a swimming pool far enough removed that there is no noise from that area. Rooms are in separate low-rise buildings and are spacious with large bathrooms & shaded porches. restaurant food was very good w/ quite proper, helpful staff. In a peaceful semi-rural setting. Hotel manager was so helpful that even tho we only had credit card they did not take, they did a work-around to get it accepted.
