“some good dishes”
Reviewed 1 April 2012

the starters are the best dishes on the menu, the mains can be a hit and miss affair. They don't cope well with large groups, keep it to 6 people at the most.

A little difficult to locate....just like a hidden treasure but when you do find this place ,you realise it was worth the effort .Beautiful outdoor decor, good food and excellent service. Should
say I have never seen such polite and friendly waiting staff ever. They make you feel at home and surely that is how I felt. If you ever find your self here, you should thank your lucky stars.

“Nice Indian Restaurant in Labone, Accra”
Reviewed 18 March 2012

Tandoor Restaurant can be easily located in Accra. If you come from Togo Embassy roundabout towards Danquah Circle in Osu, just take the left turn, go straight and then turn right. There are sugnboards to guide your way. Well, the restaurant has a rustic look, much like the Indian "Dhaba".The lighting was dim,Indian music was playing and the waiters wore a colourful turban which gives a very Indian look to the decor. It was really hot and the fans were not of much help! The seats are log benches with some leather on them and frankly speaking, they are not very comfortable. The staff are friendly and service was quite prompt. They have an elaborate menue. We ordered mixed tandoori platter as starter. It had few pieces of chicken kebab, fish kebab, mutton sheekh kebab and a piece of tandoori chicken. The chicken and sheekh kebabs were fine. However, I found the mutton kebab a bit chewy and the fish was not very fresh. What I really liked there was the butter naan.It was straight out of the tandoor! We also ordered keema stuffed naan and it was nice too. We had chicken makhanwala and mutton rogan josh. The food was quite satisfactory.Other than Indians, we saw a number of local people and foreigners dining there which proves that this place is quite popular in Accra. The price is reasonable according to Accra standard.
