We last ate at this restaurant in its old premises and were delighted to find Lorraine's Ntlo-Maison at its new home in in the Fairscape precinct in the Fairgrounds area of Gaborone. (Fairscape is the four glass tower office block clearly visible from most of the incoming roads).
I had the escargot, the rabbit and a mango sorbet; my husband had the onion soup, steak tartare and the Crème Brule. We brought our own wine (corkage of P70) but were pleasantly surprised by the wide range of European and South African wines at reasonable mark-up prices (given the heavy duties in Botswana).
The service was excellent, we both had superb meals and my husband rated the Crème Brule at 8/10; unusually high for any restaurant across South Africa or Botswana, as this is mostly a disappointing poorly made blancmange.
A great evening and one that we intend to repeat.
