It isn’t too interesting to visit this place. A bit like a low grade copy of Chefchaouen (although I never been) with buildings painted in blue and staff/ gate people trying to get tip every time you pass by....
However if you have time, then why not. It is quite a good walk around.

At the beginning, I didn’t want to go there as I saw some pictures and I thought that it’s like a castle and useless to see.

However, I went there and I was so happy to visit that place. The houses there are so nice, so nice to take a lot of photos also. People are nice and there’re some shops there to buy staff like water, donuts, juices, oil, gifts, etc but the stores are more expensive than anywhere else in Rabat.

The best part is when you reach the end of the road and you become up high and see the sea. That place is magnificent. It is so cool.

Beautiful fortified part of Rabat offering lovely narrow streets leading to a huge terrace with incredible view over the Atlantic Ocean !
Even though , don't plan to spend a whole afternoon at this place , 1 hour should be enough...!

If you’re there the Kasbah is nice to pop into and take in the little flower gardens and maybe relax for a moment or two. A good spot for any young kids to let off some running and exploring steam too.

Interesting gardens, quaint walkways, stunning seascape and Kasbahs stocked with tourist souvenirs. Have some mint tea whilst enjoying the peaceful seascape.
Definitely a cultural/ historical oasis in the city.
A guide is an absolute necessity. Good photo ops.
