I cannot understand why the Four Seasons Marrakech has such a limited selection of restaurants in the hotel and the restaurants that are available (Azzera and Solano) are average at best, with limited food options and poor service.

We ate at Azzera for three out of the five lunches we had during our stay (only due to a lack of available alternative options) and while there are good points (the pistachio creme brûlée and coconut sorbet were both favourites of ours) the service is slow and poor at best. For example, on our last day we asked for some butter with our bread and after waiting about half an hour we asked again - the waiter had clearly forgotten the request.

On one of the days, my Mum ordered the crepes for dessert and asked for a lemon and sugar topping. When the crepes came they had been dusted with icing sugar and had pieces of orange on them. My Mum queried the oranges and the waiter told her they were lemon's - which they clearly weren't. When my Mum tried the crepes they were dry, rubbery and with no lemon juice at all and so she left most of them. At the prices charged, this really is not good enough.

On another occasion, my husband ordered the waffle with Nutella for dessert and was surprised that it was cold. He did not eat it. We are not sure if it was supposed to be cold or if it had been hanging around in the kitchen (the desserts took about 30 minutes to arrive).

The setting, next to the stunning hotel pool, is beautiful but that really is the main positive about the experience. The Four Seasons should really address the lack of restaurant options at this hotel and the service of their waiters as, despite loving the Four Seasons brand, we are considering trying the Mandarin Oriental for our next trip to Marrakech purely due to the disappointing food/service at Azzera and Solano.

This restaurant has some of the worst service we've encountered in Morocco. Certainly the worst service we've had at a Four Seasons Resort - sadly there is very little choice in the hotel for lunch.

We came here for a late lunch one afternoon and had a fantastic lunch overlooking the pool. The ambiance and scenery was so serene and relaxing.

For appetizers, we had a shrimp and avocado salad as well as a burrata with cherry tomatoes, both of which were very tasty and fresh.

For main courses, I had the fish platter and my husband had the fillet mignon. Neither of us regretted our choice! For dessert we shared a strawberry tart, which was average and a lemon creme brûlée which was fantastic.

The quality of the ingredients, the presentation of the food, the taste, the service, and the venue are all up to Four Seasons standards. This is a fantastic place to go for a late lunch if you want to have a relaxing meal away from the hustle and bustle of the medina.

I found the prices to be in line with my expectations. It was slightly cheaper than the menu offerings of the Mamounia outdoor terrace restaurant, but with a superior selection of dishes and venue.

Overall, a very pleasant experience. I would recommend it to anyone.

A great choice for a quick meal before or after spending time around the pool. Most appropriate for those staying at the resort.
