My husband and I spent 4 days with Morrocco desert trips at the end of March. The first indication of their customer service came from my initial email communications with Said who granite do the tour. No question was too mundane or silly. He answered everything politely and promptly. When we arrived in Marrakesh we were met at the airport by a driver from the company who brought us the the Medina where they arranged for a porter to carry our bags through the car less streets to our Riad. The driver contacted Said the let him know we arrived. Someone from Morrocco Tours came back for us after we checked into the Riad and gave us a tour of Marrakesh. This guide was very good and knowledgeable and wanted to make sure we had a good experience.
The next day we embarked on a 4 day journey with our driver Kamal over the Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate then Merzouga then Agdz. Kamal is a great guide and driver. He was totally focused on helping us enjoy this great experience and went out of his way to help us in any way he could. When we started searching for the goats standing in the branches of the Argan trees he spotted a goat herder, stopped the van ,and arranged for us to go onto the property to get close to the goats. (Very quietly so as not to scare them). He also helped us find wine and beer which is not readily available in the small towns. He is a very pleasant travelling companion with a good sense of humor. And was very informative about his country and its the culture.
The overal tour is a wonderful mix of historic and natural sites. All of the guides we had at the different sites were great with a depth of knowledge beyond the site info.
We did the desert camel trek in the Sahara and stayed overnight in tents. The camels were cute and calm.Omar was our desert guide. He has been a Nomad all his life and is very sweet, kind and very good with the camels.
