Me and partner have ate at a lot of restaurants around the world yet we think this is possibly the best we have been too for value. Unbelievable tasty food at an unbelievable price (I dread to think how much this would cost in the UK) with impeccable service. Me and my partner had 2 mains, 2 desserts and 3 drinks which came to £55. A must go to in Marrakech.

After nearly a week of All Inclusive buffet and being hounded by by people in jemaa el-fna telling me their food won’t give me diarrhoea, we decided to try a proper sit down meal in Marrakech. I managed to get a late notice booking at L’Annexe and it didn’t disappoint.

We were greeted by the smiley and polite waiter who offered us a choice of seats which were comfortable and well set. He promptly delivered a selection of nibbles (nuts, olives and savoury popcorn) all of which were very tasted and complimented my pre-dinner beer.

We both had a starter of the specials list, which was hand written and specific to the day, assumably to match the fresh produce. My partners prawn dish was spectacular, an flavour explosion of coconut and lemongrass but served with the panache of French cuisine.

There wasn’t an extensive wine list but this was to be expected in a Muslim country however we did try the Moroccan wine which was delicious and only around £14!

Onto the mains again I went for the special which was candied beef with crispy onions and mushrooms. The sauce was rich and full of body and worked well with the tagliatelle. The beef was melt in the mouth and the portion was massive!! The chateaubriand was cooked to perfection and the garlic chips that come with it were a cool twist on steak frites. My partner said the peppercorn sauce was the best she ever tasted!

A tarte tatin and Irish coffee to finish a beautiful meal and we left as very happy customers. The owner was very attentive and friendly and it seemed like a warm and welcoming atmosphere! Will definitely return when I’m next in Marrakech.

P.s. the bill came to roughly £90, which is an absolute bargain for 3 courses each, beer, wine and coffee. A meal of equivalent quality in the UK would have been £150+

Very reasonable price for delicious food and drink. Excellent service and lovely modern decor. Highly recommend the steaks. The Moroccan house wine we had was also very good. Red - La Ferme Cotes du Rhône

It had been a couple of years since I´d last eaten here, but glad to say nothing´s changed, it´s still one of the best restaurants in Marrakech. For the starter I had the salmon tartare... heaven, for the main, chateaubriand... cooked to perfection, dessert home made nougat and ice cream.... superb, washed down with a bottle of Eclipse, Morocco´s best red wine. This is French food at it´s best , great sevice , and very reasonably priced.
Highly recommended.
