My friend and I stayed at this riad from the 25/28th may. We had the perle room and found itto be a good size space for 2 friends to stay in. We had dinner at the riad on the first night and had great service and food. The roof terrace is lovely and we found that the people staying at. The riad were all "our sort of people". The worst part about this riad is the location as you have to go down a scary tunnel to get to it- if you are touristy looking and come out of this tunnel the locals will know you are staying at the riad al rimal- I only mention this as we were followed by a man purporting to work at our riad offering to show us his spice store- obv he didn't and when we wised up to this he disappeared! That being said the obscure off the street location was safe as they have a safety steward who will see you through- he is in a high vis jacket and we tipped him at the end of our stay for helping us out. Other small niggle was that there is no fridge in the room so no cool water in the morning.
we ventured out of the riad into the Jemma el fan square as quickly as we could because we wanted to get to grips with it- it was pretty hectic and if you are 2 women travelling on your own you will be hassled pretty much constantly- say non Merci a lot and glide on past! We used trip advisor to plan our itinerary so some things that we did which we would recommend are: faim d'espice cooking day coupled with the Mystic Spa hammam which was a great way to spend a day! We also went to the majorelle or YSL gardens (we walked from the riad- took us about 40 mins) very peaceful, cool and calming. We visited the newer part of town for dinner and went to the Comptoir - this is where one of the Americas next top model shows were filmed balancing tea sets on their heads- this was part of an actual show that they do at about 22:30 each night where belly dancers come out to the floor to do a show. We found taxis to be hair-raising in terms of safety but very cheap- we didn't pay more than about 50d for any trip one way (this is approx £4.50) go, experience and have fun!

I recently stayed in Marrakesh with a friend for my first time and i was so pleased with the location of this riad.It was a very comfy suite the sapphire. We loved sitting on the roof terrace having the gorgeous breakfast in the sun and then sunbathing in the afternoon with wine and a dip in the hot tub.The staff were friendly especially Foaud who always geeted us with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. The riad staff were very helpful in booking up restaurants, camel rides and hammans for us.I would like to say my only moan would be to have snacks available throughout the day, but i will visit again.

Just come back from staying 4 nights at the riad, excellent accomodation, service. Spotlessly clean rooms, genuine lovely staff, made so welcome nothing to much trouble. Would recommend this Riad have stayed in Marrakesh before and this riad was a little hidden treasure. Thankyou to all the staff for a lovely stay especially as it was my husbands 50th birthday and we enjoyed our stay so much. Went to La Competoir Restaurant and night club amazing time and La Momounia for afternooon tea sheer luxury.

The medina is beautiful. It's a little tricky to initially find (our taxi driver, booked through the riad, got lost in the alleys) but once you've got your bearings and over the fear or some of the darker alleys its fine.

Three of us stayed in the Pearl suite and it was perfect for us. It's exactly as it looks on the internet. As the riad was fairly quiet a lot of the other rooms doors were open and they all looked as they do on the internet as well so whichever room you choose you should be happy with.

The only gripes I would have is that because it's run more like a B&B it can be difficult to find someone for service and we were woken very early one morning from noises around the riad because everything echos. However, neither of these issues would put me off returning and I would happily recommend it to anyone taking a trip to Marrakech.

It may be initially difficult to find through the winding back laneways of the Medina but it is well worth it. Very good location only a few minutes walk to the main square and the Souks. The Riad is a fantastic retreat from the craziness of the medina and we enjoyed the hammam (highly recommended to try a private session), the lovely roof terrace and the pool. . Only small comment that the beds were quite hard which was personally not something I enjoy but clearly is a dependant on your personal preferences. Overall very good experience, friendly staff always willing to help. Recommended
