Owner description: The riad-museum Le Jardin Secret is one of the largest and most ancient palaces of the medina of Marrakech. It is a place that has kept ancient structures intact that are of an extraordinary cultural value, linked to the art of gardens, architecture and Arab hydraulics. Popularly known as Riad Loukrissi, it has been the sumptuous residence of the Qaid U-Bihi who was the head of the Haha tribe. The riad rises up in the Mouassine quarter (on the main thoroughfare and but a few steps away from the Mouassine fountain and Mouassine Mosque), and comprises two large gardens and one of the highest towers of the medina. The museum provides you with a wealth of historical information about Marrakech's architecture, water, and gardens. You will also find a boutique, a bookshop and two cafes inside Le Jardin Secret. The cafes offer you up fresh, homemade products that you can eat in lush and peaceful settings.
Useful Information: Wheelchair access, Bathroom facilities, Food available for purchase, Baby buggy parking, Lockers / storage

I visited this hidden gem in 2016 just after it first opened and have had the pleasure to watch it grow and develop over time. I've returned with family and friends and all have been impressed. It's well worth the frequent visitor ticket as you can drop in as often as you like to take a rest from the madina, a frequent visitor ticket is valid for a year.
There are a lot more tourists since 2016 but not so many to take away from the serenity of this garden. Worth taking time out to watch the videos and exhibitions.
This garden is a very special place and it is a credit to all those involved not only in the creation of this garden but to those who run this so successfully. Very welcoming, like coming home. I shall be returning soon!

The gardens are very well maintained and offer a much needed break from the hustle outside. There is a rooftop cafe which was ok too. A reasonable price for the contrast from the streets. Interesting history too.

Small gardens with a place to have coffee or a snack. More than the gardens what is interesting is the story of the restoration of the site.

If you are tired of the hustle in the Medina, The Secret Garden is a great escape. It´s full of trees, lavender, and other flowers along with 4 fountains with benches. There is a great roof top cafe overlooking the garden where they make amazing virgin mojitos :-)
This is really worth a visit and not crowded with tourists like the Majorelle Garden. Don´t miss it :-)
