Riad Damia is a very cosy place, the staff make you feel at home especially Azzdin and Adil.. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. They also prepare some good food... The location is also good not hard to find. It was one of my favorite stays in Morocco

I can not thank the staff at Riad Damia enough for their service and hospitality. Adel and Azedeen went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and gave us all the help we needed to navigate around Fes. The Riad is just beautiful. Our room was very comfortable, clean and very well looked after. The food was delicious! I never experienced one negative thing whilst staying in this Riad. When I return to Fes in the future, I will only stay in Riad Damia.

We had a reservation which was booked sometime in advance. We had hired a car and drove from Chefchouan to Fez. Access to Riads in the Medina by car is always problematic, but this Riad had fairly good access. We were greeted on the small narrow road by a young boy who asked if we were staying at Damia. He said he worked for the hotel. He was very helpful in finding us a car space on the road and helping to guide us in to the tight space. He went to get an adult from the hotel and our bags were magically taken from the car to reception inside the Riad courtyard. The staff were very friendly. The property is beautiful with a lot of character and the expected antique Moroccan adorations of a beautiful, but older Riad.

We had booked a suite. Unfortunately, due to a water problem at the hotel, the staff told us that the hotel could not offer us a room that night, but that they would upgrade us to a better Riad owned by the same owner. Not having much choice, we went to look at the other Riad (called Riad Fes Al Cazar - I will write a separate review). I can only say we were not disappointed, and the upgrade to Al Cazar was genuine and we had an amazing stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and also assisted us in returning our car in the modern part of town before closing time.

Situated in the medina (old town) this charming Riad is constructed around a covered 3 storey courtyard that was nicely furnished with large comfortable couches for lounging. The rooftop patio offers a view of the surrounding medina. We had a large 3 room suite plus bath on the top floor that was traditionally and comfortably furnished and which could sleep 5 adults. The decor of the Riad included many antique items and was attractively tiled throughout with traditional colors and patterns. It comes with breakfast but we aso opted for the dinners, which were traditional and very nicely done. The host was pleasant and helpful. The building is 90 years old and like many older buildings had a few little quirks but nothing that interfered with comfort and generally seemed well maintained. Like in many areas of Morocco, the Internet was a little uneven and slow but generally usable . We enjoyed our 3 days here. It wasn't the cheapest option but we felt we had very good value and would highly recommend it.
