Ideally located right next to the amazing Fez Médina (that beats even Marrakech by a long way), this Riad offers every comfort, a long cool drink after a thirsty day exploring, and great conversation with Zak who is quick to smile and quicker to help. Highly recommended.

My favorite Riad in Morocco. Within moments of arriving, we were warmly greeted by Zak with tea and pastry as our jaws dropped at the sight of the beautiful paradise of a courtyard we had just entered. From that moment until we checked out, Zak and his colleagues took complete care of us. The Riad is stunning... a carefully restored judge’s home. The courtyard is the hub of the accommodation. We had a beautiful room that opened into the courtyard... commodious room, comfortable beds, great bathtub/shower, nicely appointed. Delicious traditional Moroccan food made to order (placed order early in the day) and served in the courtyard. When we eventually tired of even the best couscous and tagine offered in the Médina (bound to happen to any American after days of eating in Morocco), Zak suggested a different, lighter menu which was just the ticket. As amazing as these accommodations are, undoubtedly the riad’s staff is this greatest asset. From the manager on down, the genuine warmth and accommodation they all provide is awesome.

Room tip: Request a room on the courtyard

Stunning courtyard and beautiful room but all paled in comparison to the fabulous staff. We were meant to feel special from the time we first entered the Riad. Zack was so special and made you feel like a real friend and not just a client. He always had time to stop and engage you in a conversation. He took time to play with a 2 yr old who always giggled when he saw him to arranging a special dinner for me when I wasn’t feeling well. What a treasure. Great experience.

Room tip: All the rooms were different but all seemed interesting.

On arrival, we were greeted warmly by Zack. The Riad El Yacout was a wonderful site to behold. The central restaurant and bedrooms were beautiful. The bedrooms were VERY clean however shampoo and bath gel were not replaced each day of our stay. The service in the restaurant was a highlight. We were fortunate to have Madi serve us on several occasions. The pool was a welcome relief at the end of hot summer days exploring the city.

Room tip: Don't be afraid to ask if you need anything. The staff are wonderful.
