Riad Laaroussa Hotel and Spa

I have every intention of returning to Fez to stay at Riad Laaroussa again. The staff were extremely accommodating, the riad itself is gorgeous and enchanting. The views are stunning, the food was amazing, everyone who works there is so incredibly warm and goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and you have everything you need. I have a severe peanut allergy and they made sure the entire staff was alerted and let me look around the kitchen myself to make sure there were no oils or anything that I might be allergic to. We (3 American women in their 20's) were fortunate enough to be visiting in the summer while the owners were there with their children. They are incredibly lovely and fun to chat with. I can assure you that this riad lives up to every other glowing review on here.

Although I had been warned (by Moroccans) that Fez could be a little dodgy, I never felt uncomfortable. The riad arranged a walking guide (Mohammad aka Momo) to take us around the medina and he listened to exactly the type of things we wanted to see and didn't try to pressure us to shop or do anything we hadn't planned to do. Please be advised that we happened to be visiting on the day of the Muslim celebration of Eid al-Adha so there were very few people walking around the medina while we were there. I know that it can get quite busy on normal days, as all medinas do.

I would recommend making sure that you book a day for yourself to just lounge around this riad while visiting Fez. The hammam is definitely worth doing. Be sure to eat dinner on the roof. They let guests hang out in the kitchen with them while they make the meals for free. If you're there during the appropriate season, spending an afternoon by the pool is incredibly relaxing.

Be sure to read the history of the riad and the community involvement of the owners in the brochure of your room.

This was the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the medina. The riad is exquisitely furnished and the attention to detail and style is fabulous. The service is impeccable without being too imposing. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. The hammam and spa are definitely worth trying too. This was the best place we stayed in all the places we visited in Morocco and will definitely return.

This was our 3rd visit to the Riad Laasoussa and as always we had a wonderful time. The service is excellent, amazing rooms and lovely food. All the staff were so kind and helpful especially when my friend was unwell.
We stayed in the Terrace room this time, a lovely spacious room with a massive bathroom plus own private terrace.
The Riad organsised a guide for us. Fereda was excellent and it was nice to hear about a womans perspective on life in Morocco.

Room Tip: each room is unique and I would be happy with any of them. The Terrace room is probably the largest

We had the best time! At a perfect located riad in the middle of the medina. It's staff was amazingly friendly, the friendly that is always looking to make your stay more comfortable, more special. The food, particularly breakfast was superb, fresh homemade artisan yogurt, dried fruits and nuts, perfectly made eggs, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, freshly baked breads and the list goes on and on and on. Our bedroom was gorgeous and comfortable and we didn't have their higher-end, but still was carefully prepared, all the details were aiming to make us feel comfortable. Last and the best, their owners, attentive to their business, on site most of the time, they have trained their staff super well and it just radiates on their ways to deal with everything. Great memories, thank you!

My wife and I stayed here in November 2016, and our stay was magical. The service was exceptional...every single staff member was always eager to assist in any way. They set us up with an amazing tour guide who gave us an exceptional tour of the riad and helped us find the right place purchase rugs, leather jacket, and more. The massage was amazing. The food at dinner and the breakfast on the roof were both delicious and atmosphere and view amazing. The new pool was so refreshing. Also, the two lazy labs that are the house dogs made us feel so at home. We were in Morocco for 10 days and wished we'd spent more time here. We will definitely stay here again if/when we make it back to Morocco.
