This place sends out guys to trick tourist going into other restaurants by telling them the restaurant is full but offering to lead you to their "sister"restaurant down the street. Then they'll rip you off when it comes time for the bill. My wife is vegetarian so she ordered a veggie tangine that came with a big piece of fatty beef in the middle. Food is not very good and they add made up service charges. STAY AWAY!
TOURIST TRAP! Don’t go to this place if you don’t want to pay a bunch of money for a completely average meal. It is way too overpriced (Menu for 270 MDH) and one-course meal for 180 MDH) and the quality is just average. You can get these meals for a half or third price everywhere in Fes. They didn’t give us the menu with the simple courses just the menu card, when we said that we don’t want to have complete menu the waiter said that it is not possible he has to ASK HIS BOSS who gave approval to eat only one course. Simply nonsense and I had never ever experienced such behavior and attitude in a restaurant so far. I would like to highlight on that point again that in Morocco if you are working with these prices you cannot run a restaurant with this quality. The simple course menu card we had to ask from a couple who sat next to us (they were also very disappointed about the quality of the service & guest treatment) in the restaurant. Strictly not recommended.
Totally crap food, extortionate, seems as if all they want to do is rip there clientele off, paid 440dh for such a basic meal. They had the cheek to bring my main meal which consisted of only two pieces of chicken skewers of chicken nothing else. When questioned they play ignorant as if they don't understand you. The tour in sure is on commission to bring people here. Total disastrous. Avoid at all cost.
Our local guide brought us here. For the 5 of us we ordered three 3-course menu's, which was more than enough. Food was also good and tasteful. Standard Moroccon dishes as main course (Kefta, Tajine chicken, etc). Great variety of starters with bread and fresh fruit as dessert. Prices are pretty high for this area in the medina, but ok. They also serve wine, but quality was not that great. We read in other review about the roof terrace and that is definitely worth the effort taking the stairs. Great terrace and beautiful over the medina. Just ask the staff to show you the terrace and they are more than welcome to show it to you.
