Although the location is great we had a bad experience at this hotel. The room- especially the bathroom was very dirty. We had to clean the toilet and basin ourselves before we could use it. One of us got bitten by bed bugs all over and could not sleep at all. Although it is a more budget hotel, we paid more or less the same for much better hotels in Marrakesh and Essaouira. So definitely not worth the money for us. Also some dodgy characters hanging out there.

I've stayed at Cascade several times over the years, so am a bit biased! The rooms are basic, but some have had toilets and showers added recently. You might find somewhere nicer for not too much more money, but you won't beat the location. The selection of balconies overlooking Bab Boujloud are perfect for wasting away an afternoon, and are a dream for photographers or people watching. There's a relaxing large cushioned area where you'll bump into the chef. He's been there for 30 years and will likely be one of the friendliest people you'll meet in Morocco. He only cooks for the guests and will make you a delicious feast. It's always a pleasure to see him again. Cascade is only moments from a taxi, 5 minutes from the main bus station and surrounded by shops and restaurants. The place could do with a bit of love, but I highly recommend it for it's other qualities. Thanks Cascade, I'll be back one day!

Room Tip: Rooms on the other side from the medina are quieter.

This budget hotel is in a perfect location, it's easy to get to from the medina entrance and easy to get back to from the maze of the medina. Staff are friendly and helpful and it has a nice big terrace and good wifi. Overall good value and I would definitely stay again

Everything in the room was dirty , especially the bathroom (if you want to call that thing a bathroom) the price was extremely high for that room that we stayed ..
Even in the roof garden we had to leave early cause there people that were sleeping there so we hadn't the opportunity to enjoy the night and we had to go back to our awfull rooms ...
The breakfast was poor and boring

Great location; more than helpful staff.

I'd like to give the riad raving reviews, because the staff was more than helpful and the location is ideal . . . and the food was GREAT! The chef is awesome. The rooftop terrace is very nice.

But it is a bit overpriced for what it offers. The building could stand a little maintenance . . . . And, the room we stayed in (two beds & private bath) was dirty. The sheets on the bed were clean (yay), but the bathroom bordered on filthy - sink and floor had not been cleaned for awhile and scary things on the floor next to the toilet.

Maybe the rooms with common toilets are in better condition?

Since we stayed in places much nicer and significantly cleaner for a lot less money, it's difficult to recommend this riad. I don't know what else Fes has to offer ~
