This natural waterfall coupled with the botanical gardens is beautiful. This is not a hiking trail, it is a paved path and a reasonably easy walk. Worth the money, my dad is 82, he used the shuttle up and down, but still enjoyed the visit. For more mobile golden age persons with any concerns you could ride the tram up and then walk back. Our children are in their twenties and I would say everyone enjoyed this visit.

In the amazing Waimea Valley, serine botanical garden the Waimea waterfalls are a truly picture perfect sight and you are allowed to swim here. If you can't make it on a hike to the less commercialized waterfalls, this is the next best thing. It may not be Off the beaten track, yet its a fantastic area to visit. Bring a drinking water and cash. Great way to spend a day. It's worth it!

Because I didn’t fully research these falls ahead of time, I was surprised to learn it was part of an arboretum you must pay to enter. The “hike” is paved and ends at the falls. Free life jackets are provided if you wish to swim. They are required. Water was frigid but a fun, quick experience. Bring a few bucks for tip.

The walk to the waterfall is beautiful as it is also a botanical garden. There are several meandering paths. The waterfalls was colder than usual due to recent rains and the water was murky but still well worth it. There are lifeguards and life vests at the falls and wearing a vest is required. Great way to spend a day.

We loved visiting Waimea Waterfall. The parking was easy, the paved path made for an easy stroll, the waterfall was beautiful and getting to swim in the pool was special. The water was chilly but not awful. Consider wearing water shoes as there are rocks.
