I've visited Terrapin twice while visiting friends at UGA. Both times unfortunately were pretty crappy weather, however, the changes they have made inside are for the better. Terrapin's new tasting room is beautiful with plenty of taps, friendly servers, and a stage. As I'm from SC, I opted for the stay and play which includes a souvenir glass, 5 x 6 oz. samples of beer, and a 6pk to go. We did take the tour as I wanted to see how the changes impacted the brewery floor; there's nothing really to write home about — seen one, seen them all. But it's always enjoyable to watch the fermenters bubble and smell the fresh wort cooking. Terrapin brews fantastic beer, creates a great environment, and had friendly people to shoot the wind with. Will go again on my next visit to Athens.

First off this not a bar. For 12 dollars you get a glass to keep and 6 samples. By samples it's around 4 Oz. So essentially 2 beers. Where else can you get 2 beers, no great beers and a glass for 12 dollars? Super staff telling you about the beer, live music in background. The only negative is they could have more stools. The ipa with blood orange is AMAZING.

This was a cool place to spend and afternoon. Tasted some brew and chilled outside at a picnic area. Tour was pretty cool. Great thing to do with family and friends. It's a must see.

Our car club made a short trip to the brewery for tour and sampling. The place is quite impressive and I love the story of how it got started and the trivia behind the deadhead name!

The staff was very helpful and made great suggestions for which beer to sample according to your taste. They even stayed after their shift to allow us to continue sampling after the tour.

The tour guide was very entertaining and provided a great deal of information about how the beer is made and packaged.

Had a great time and will definitely be going back.

Terrapin is a landmark in the southeast for craft beer and outdoor tunes. These guys have been doing their thing for a long time and they are good at it. You can always expect several varieties of beer along with local music and fun. Often a venue for UGA or other local events. Tours for those who want to learn about the business, outdoor lawn party for those who don't. Long lines for beer sometimes so go with friends.

Worth your time if you want a slice of Athens culture.
