The views here were amazing. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was small but very attentive. The have bicycles you can take to town. Town is close so this very nice. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because they are doing an upgrade on the water system so the water was not potable from 5 pm to 8 am. The water had a very strong sulfer smell. I would definately stay there again, but I will call to make sure the water has been fixed.

When you come up to Mata Rocks and leave the street to back of the property it is like a different world. You are right on the beach front a small pool and bar with lounge chairs on the beach and by the pool. Elliot the manager was most helpful when we arrived to make us feel comfortable and to acclimate to the area.

The rooms were very nice it had a queen bed, fridge, sink and microwave which you pick up some items for you stay at the Super Buy. The room was clean and neat. The shower is only complaint it did not have very good water pressure.

Elliot help us arrange a snorkeling excursion to Mexico Rocks with Serious Adventures.
Alll in all this was great property to stay at in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize.

This is a superb boutique resort, room was a great size and very well kept. The pool was steps from my door and the onsite beach bar is really nice to chill. The staff are really friendly. I was on my own and they were always quick to open conversation and ask questions, and remembered ur name after one visit.
I will definetly return here on my next adventure to belize. Made me feel very at home.

They dont have a restaurant but go to the bar and they have a book with nearly every restaurant on the island so very easy to decide where to eat

We just spent a glorious 12 day family vacation in San Pedro on Ambergris Quay where we took full advantage of the ocean activities :(scuba/snorkel/swim) and daily outings to wonderful food vendors. Mata Rocks, our beachfront hotel was clean, safe and friendly. Our staff was most accommodating ( especially Everett) and even upgraded us when we ran into a problem with our room. Continental breakfast is limited and they don’t have a restaurant on site but there is a beach bar. However, we used their free bikes daily to cycle to town on the beach and it was a blast! They also offered free taxi service to and from the pier upon arrival and departure.
The island is extremely friendly and the locals are amazing! Sea grass, although quite prolific, affected the beach area in front of Mata Rocks from time to time and should be managed more carefully. We did find that other areas of the beachfront did a better job of cleaning it up.

We had a great stay at Mata Rocks. We especially appreciated the staff - friendly, fun, and helped us arrange excellent snorkeling and boating tours on the island. Thanks so much for all your help!

We liked the location a lot, too. It’s south of the town center, but you can still get to restaurants and hot spots by walking or very short taxi. We tried tons of different restaurants and bars, and liked being on a quieter part of the island.

We also loved the beach bar - we ordered drinks at the bar and had them in the pool a couple nights, it was a great way to wind down.
