I stay in the area quite often. I've stayed here more than once and was a bit irritated by paying a resort charge at a basic hotel. I was excited when checking in to hear that they'd done away w/ the resort fee; however, they've replaced it with a parking charge. Paying to park at this facility is beyond silly, but the front desk response was "the good news is that this prevents locals from parking here". In other words, it's good for the hotel, still meaningless for travelers forced to pay the same fee.

Why not include the parking rate in the hotel rate to avoid forcing your guests to feel the nickle/diming negativity? I don't buy the "all other hotels in the area do it", because I'm typing this from the Best Western Courtesy (which is fine btw): it's right up the street and resort/parking/junk fees are included in the rate (which happens to be about the same as the HI's).

Aside from the junk fees, it's a decent Holiday Inn. Great location if you're going to the park. I'll stay there again in the future if they decide to ditch the extra fees. Good news for you is there are other options in the area that don't have parking/resort/etc fees where the rate is what it is.

I favor the Priority Club and like Holiday Inns-this particular property just needs to revisit their policies. A revision would make a difference for this traveler, because I actually like the hotel/location.

Thank you for letting us know about your stay with us. While we do charge for parking, a few limited service hotels do not. Our parking charge enables us to maintain a security patrolled lot and allows us to offer other amenities limited service hotels can not. These include kids eating free with their parents during all meal periods, a great fitness room and free high speed internet access. We do hope you would give us another visit as we are sure the value of our hotel along with it's location is the best in Anaheim.

Sincerely,

Tom Van Winkle

When i first walked in the lobby was very nice so i assumed the rooms would be nice too. but as soon as i went to the room i was disappointed. the room was tiny & HOT. The bed didnt even have real pillows , more like couch pillows w. pillow cases on them. When i was just about to pick up the room phone i saw the most horrible thing. a pubic hair ! EW!! Then the next morning i find these bugs all over the desk & even in the food & gifts from disneyland! (i can understand if the food was left in the open but it was still in the un-opened package) How do bugs get on the 4th floor anyway? Never staying there again

We had a great few days here after a gruelling drive through Route 66. The room was very good and clean. We had a great time due to assistance from the staff. I recommend Roxanne behind the front desk for all tour information-she is a real whiz. The guys all except one whose sense of direction was a little out of sync leading to much mirth were all very helpful too. We had a great time with other guests at the bar manned by the incomparable Kelli. A star!Recommend a bit of time spent there. A short walk to Downtown Disney if you have no kids and a nice stroll back after a really satisfying dinner. The buffet breakfast was a real delight.

Very clean and comfortable location. Staff was great. Resturant on site served very nice meals. Close to Disney but we did not walk there. There is a bus available. Pool area family friendly. Families ate brought in food at out door tables in courtyard. Rooms are airconditioned. Would stay here again.

Wonderful experience!  Were are a family of four, two adults and two children.  Arrived at the hotel was in a great location, nice and green all around.  Roberto the front desk clerk was very polite, courteous made check in easy and welcoming.  The front lobby looked just like their website spacious and clean.  Stayed seven days and the room was very clean, quite and comfortable. Had breakfast at the hotel restaurant every morning the food was excellent and the morning staff Maria, Jen, Alfonso and their front cashier manager truly exceeded the overall customer service. The overall experience at the hotel including pricing was a five star rating.  For once the service exceeded the image of a good hotel.

PS.  Our Disneyland vacation was awesome within walking distance.  Thank you Holiday Inn for making our experience a good one
