The Grand Hyatt was the perfect hotel for a family trip with two kids. Located close to the Mall it is also in a lively neighborhood with good choices for elaborate, casual, and to-go dining.
The hotel itself is spacious and has very good amenities, including the convenience of stores open long hours, a Starbucks, and even an underground entrance directly to the subway.
The staff is very attentive and courteous. Traveling with two kids we had multiple requests that if accommodated would have made a tremendous difference, and they all were! A special note for Nick Zeidman, who showed great enthusiasm and took pride in working for the Grand Hyatt and the Hyatt hotels group. Truly an asset to the company and great for the travelers who interact with him, quite possibly the best hotel ambassador we ever met.
All in all - we will 100% be staying at the Grand Hyatt next time in DC.
Also, it is a great conference space - we did not use it but there were a couple of conferences taking place while we were there and everything was moving very smoothly.More
