Average hotel quality. Some maintenance issues in the room but nothing was a deal breaker. Lots of wierd noises in the room at all hours of the day and night. Bed was good quality and no issues. From my experience in DC, this is about average for a 200-250/night hotel.

Easy professional check-in. Staff friendly. Rooms more than adequate. Biggest gripe was the lack of in-room amenities.

Tiny coffee maker with tiny cups/mugs. No cutlery at all. No spoons just the ridiculous tiny red straw in the coffee/tea pack. They supply four which only gives you enough sugar and creamer for two cups of coffee. I kept having to raid the maid's cart.

Very disappointing to see two water bottles in the fridge with 'complimentary' on them but luckily read the fine print and unless you're an elite Hyatt member they were $3 each. Very poor form Hyatt.

Overall though, a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Take your own sugar, creamer, cups and spoons.

Stayed for 2 nights while husband had a meeting in DC. Hotel was comfortable and room was clean. Room looked out into their big atrium - was OK but missed looking outside. See they don't change sheets or towels for 2 days - which is fine - but wanted another shampoo and lotion so had to ask cleaning person in the hallway. Washington sites are within walking distance - some are a little long - but enjoyed the location.

Called for maintenance the day after I checked in to report that I had to stand in 5-6 inches of dirty shower water in the morning. I had an important meeting that day and this was not a good start. The maintenance technician arrived and after pouring some draino or some similar chemical into the shower drain he announced "good to go".. I wish it were because the next day I again stood in 5-6 inches of dirty shower water.. I was on the second floor and unfortunately close enough to the side street in which there were several people yelling and fighting outside in the street (10th St NW) around 2 a.m. on all three nights that I stayed.. Perhaps because of the number of people coming and going to this hotel and the fact that they are making big $$$ regardless of "average" conditions, the customer expectations are not a priority.

Dear jameshS7223UI,

Thank you for bringing your experience to our attention. We are sorry to hear your recent visit was not as enjoyable as it could have been due to the issues you experienced with your room’s shower. We want to assure you this is not the typical guest experience at our hotel. We hope you’ll give us a chance to make it up to you at a later date.

Sincerely,
