Wonderful family friendly row home- walking distance from groceries restaurants Metro. The house perfect for us nicely decorated very comfortable great sleeping cannot say one negative thing about Diana's place...The four of us took an Uber to the Natural History Museum and walked our way back sightseeing the whole way. Had dinner on the way back & walk down to the pier at the Potomac which is no more than three blocks from the home. Can't wait to go back and we will, but not soon enough! Diana wonderful host!
It's very close to the Metro -- and everything you came to see. If it were any closer to George Washington University, it would be a classroom. The neighborhood is quiet, well-kept and charming. We tried one of several nice restaurants nearby, and shopped a few paces down the block, at Whole Foods. This is a very real, very old row house, beautifully updated and clean, but still proudly showing its age. The floors are real planks. The stairs are steep, but easy enough for most people, I think. The kitchen is modern, with new appliances, and capable of more than we needed. The baths were updated and easily served five tired tourists (including two young children). All in all, it was an excellent choice for us.
