My husband and I stayed at this property 3/29 - 4/2 for a romantic and relaxing weekend away. The staff here were top notch professional and friendly. The location is very good - a 15 minute walk to the National Mall, but yet off the beaten path far enough to be quiet. We attended a concert at the Verizon Center while we were in town and it was perfect for that.

Our room was very clean and modern. The wireless network was free as well as the great breakfast. Timing is everything for the breakfast as most of the tables fill up very quickly.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone either for business or pleasure.

Room Tip: We asked for a high floor to get a view - the elevators never disappointed us.

The Hampton Inn is in a great location and is a nice, clean, efficient hotel.

After a long, long flight, the friendly crew at reception got me all sorted and into my very comfortable room in no time flat - which shouldn't necessarily be a laudable thing, but so many hotels still do struggle to make check-in (and check-out) a smooth process.

Yes there is a lot of street noise, even more than halfway towards the top floor, but that's DC. This town loves a good siren, so you might have to fork out a lot more hard-earned to find a quiet spot downtown. If you're not a deep sleeper, though, just grab some earplugs. If you are a deep sleeper, the odd siren won't bug you too much - if at all.

The addition of the buffet breakfast is a handy touch, but a potentially mega-calorie boosting experience if you're not careful. Certainly sets you up for the day, though!

Even if you weren't staying for an event or exhibition at the nearby Convention Centre, I'd still recommend this hotel as it's only a short walk from buses, rail, shopping, restaurants and of course the Mall and all the excellent DC museums and sights.

Very nice clean hotel near the downtown DC area. Staff very nice and accommodating. Decent complimentary buffet breakfast every morning -- go early as the it gets quite crowed by about 8:30AM. Free WiFi a big plus -- wish more places offered this. Hotel is close to the Metro, Union Station, and the circle busses. Hotal is within walking distance to the National Mall and the museums. If anything negative, more than average ambulance and fire truck sirens, but it did not affect our sleeping.

We came to Washington, DC to see the sights. Especially my 9 year old son. We took a tour bus on one of the days. We had a great time. The hotel was excellent!! The staff were very pleasant and helpful with every question that we had. The room was nice and clean. The buffet was the best we had ever had. The location was great. We were near everything. Chinatown was right down the street and also the Verizon Center. My husband and son went to a WWE Wrestling show there. We will definantly be back!!

Room Tip: We were on the 7th floor, not sure if was south or north side but we had a view of the Washington Monument.

What a great hotel for both business travelers and families! The beds are nice and soft, everything is clean, the staff is really nice and helpful, breakfast is good and offers plenty of choices. They even have a room with computers for guests to use 24 hours a day in addition to free Wi-Fi. It's relatively close to all the downtown DC attractions. My only complaint is that the water in the pool is kind of cold and the refrigerators don't have a freezer compartment. Also, the first day I had to ask four times before they brought a crib to our room, but it was a nice crib, not a pack'n'play you usually get in hotels.
