We got to see the WWII memorial day and night. Also we got to see many high school bands play for veterans durning the parade of heros. It's a must see both day and night.

A sight you have probably seen in countless movies but truly spectacular to see in person! The size of this memorial is massive and the artistry to create it is amazing to even imagine. The expanse makes it ideal for large groups - you don’t even realize how many people are wandering the grounds. The entire area was clean, no litter to be seen. All of the guests visiting were respectful in their manner as well. A very accessible monument/memorial for ADA needs too. Many places to sit and gather your thoughts about the sights you’ve seen.

This was a very simple and dignified memorial paying respect to the fallen who fought for freedom in World War II. The monument was really presented well, but I have to say that the placement of it was epic. In the background you have the Washington and Lincoln Memorials as backdrops giving this a special backstory to our Republic and how far it's came in a couple of hundred years. I love the symbolism you can find with some of the memorials around town and what you see in the background for a beautiful picture and place in History.

We visited this memorial at night time. Such an impressive war memorial. At night it’s all lit up and quite amazing to walk around. Highly recommend this

This is such a beautiful memorial with waterfalls and a pond in the middle and then all the states represented - be sure to look up when you are in the areas with a ceiling - beautiful carvings. You can also stand on the steps and do a picture of you with your finger on the top of the memorial like you are touching the point - just a cool suggestion.

The memorial was being visited by a large group of Vietnam Veterans, which made it all the more moving.
The Memorial itself is stunning in its subtlety.

Serene surroundings to honor those who paid the price for freedom. Beautifully designed. The fountains are wonderful and the sound of the water adds to the solemn atmosphere. The wall of stars is so special.

A must-visit attraction on the National Mall route, the memorial is superbly constructed, with beautiful water fountains and stones depicting all the states of the union.

We visited the WWII memorial at the end of a windy day. Being from Europe, and from a place that was a battlefield (St Lo), this monument has a different kind of connection for me. It is beautiful, represents every state and major battles. It is situated between Lincoln and Washington Memorials but does not obstruct the way. Worth a detour
