This is quite a unique property to have on the mall, adjacent to the Capitol and close to the American Indian museum. Top notch flowers in bloom and always something special to see.

We explored this place on a rainy fall afternoon with family. It was a great way to connect w family over an interesting experience! We especially loved the medical garden.

I only went into the conservatory, which was great! It is divided into sections such as desert, tropical, Hawaiian etc. Unfortunately at least 2-3 of the exibits were closed, which is why I have only rated as "very good" - I'm sure they would have been equally beautiful, had they been open. The conservatory also has free guided tours. I didn't join, but thought it was a nice option, that you don't necessarily have to pay for a tour.

It is a very small place but there is a bit much to see, specially if you are into plants. There are segments like tropical, Hawaii, or dessert. The real cocoa tree in there is very nice to see.

Such a cute place. A bit small when compared to other botanical gardens that I have visited but still worth the trip if you are around the National Mall. And it is free!

A perfect activity to do with friends and family, especially if you want to escape the outdoor weather. You can be in the desert and the jungle, all within an hour. A special treat, not usually found in botanic gardens, is plant-related art. It is free, there are frequently volunteer docents who provide demonstrations and are very knowledgeable.

Naming this the US Botanic Garden is really misleading. The size and is much more on a city scale than national. While small it is nicely laid out.

Recommendable, the entrance is free, it has a weird parking, only with permit but the installations are comforting, plants all around the world. You even have a second floor level where to watch the greenhouse from top.
