We weren't sure what to expect here, but it was a great way to spend the day. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to explore this fantastic journey through history.

“Don't miss it”
Reviewed 24 April 2012

Since I work in the news business, I was predisposed to like the Newseum. That said, it's a fabulous museum for anyone who cares about history, the First Amendment, the news, politics, great photography, etc. You could easily spend the day here, or a few hours over two days, since the ticket is for two days. Somewhat pricey, but worth it.

“Very interactive”
Reviewed 24 April 2012

You might balk at paying for admission to a museum in DC, but your ticket is good for 2 days at the Newseum and you'll need it to truly take in all the exhibits, movies, and interactive displays. It's very informative and entertaining.

“One day does no justice”
Reviewed 24 April 2012

I had an opportunity to visit during one of the free days and I can only say a one day visit does no justice to visiting this museum. There is so much interesting factors about the changes in the way news is presented. The exhibits are interactive as well. Try to avoid high tourist days, like free ones, as they are very crowded and its hard to read materials and interact with the exhibits.

“We spent 6 hours and didn't see it all!”
Reviewed 24 April 2012

We truly enjoyed this museum and felt it was definitely worth the price! Touching the Berlin Wall, experiencing the 9/11 exhibit and walking through our history by the Headlines of the day was really great. The kids also appreciated the hands on and interactive exhibits.
