Throughout Historic Philadelphia were benches with the iconic yellow sign "Once Upon a National" posted. We had noticed the sign once before but the sight was not staffed. We were delighted to meet Sarah the next day at the Arch Street Meeting House. We were unaware of the program and stumbled upon Sarah who was staffing the location. Enthusiastically she reenacted a roughly 5 minute story. We were enthralled. We left seeking out other locations that also measured up to Sarah's high benchmark. This is a free program and Sarah would not accept a gratuity. Sarah only asked that we make a note of the program to others.
We were provided with a map of the other locations and children were offered stars to commemorate their participation. Not having children I did not inquire if there was more to the program. But the children in our groups were delighted.
