Arriving at this lovely home tells you that it is well cared for and that you will also be well cared for by the host/owners. Our room (I think it was the John Banks Room - or similar) was spacious and spotless. Everything you need is provided, even down to a ride in Don's car into the town for dinner so that you can enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner.
Stephanie and Don are great hosts and Sennen House can only go from strength to strength under their stewardship. Obviously it is almost impossible to be 100% perfect to suit everyone and there were two downsides for us. There is several steps to climb to the rooms, so if your legs are bad (like mine) it can be difficult. Secondly, we are people who like to sit down at a breakfast table when on holiday and be served bacon and eggs, etc. - with emphasis on the "be served" bit!! Stephanie sets out a very nice continental breakfast in your room to eat at your leisure which will please many. The fruit basket is always full of a variety of fresh fruit. The township is only a short drive away and we found the Oxley Hotel restaurant on the waterfront very good. This is a Guest House to which we would happily return and recommend. Finally, thank you Steph and Don for the very nice bottle of wine that you so kindly had waiting for us on our arrival to help us celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary.
