We stayed here for a week at the end of June in very hot weather, there is no A/C in the apartment so nights were very uncomfortable. Another apartment above has a balcony which look directly down on the patio area so it is only a parasol that creates any privacy. The location is great and the food in Maria's bistro is excellent, however,a little more needs to be spent to upgrade this property e.g. tile the patio, decent pillows, traditional fabrics and basic kitchen equipment [ice cube trays] The roof terrace is not very attractive and the A/C unit up there is noisy [and does not belong to the apartment] There is building work going on at the end of the street this did not disturb us and when finished should make the area more attractive.
this house in tavira met all our needs. It is situated in a quiet street just minutes from the centre of the town.It is well equipped with everything you would need for day to day living. We called the owner on arrival and she met us within a minute as she lives close by. She gave us a tour and advised us to contact her at the coffee shop/bistro that she runs if we needed anything . We didn't need anything but we did visit the bistro to chat and had a meal there which we would recommend it is situated below and behind the flat (the main entrance is on the main road leading down to the town centre) .Maria the owner was very helpful and great company in to the bargain. The town has many restaurants that are reasonably priced and the staff are all very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely go back as the whole area is worth an explore. The only negative we have to say about the house is it is on three floors so if you are not good with stairs you may be better off elsewhere.
