We stayed here for a week and could have stayed weeks longer. If you are looking for a friendly atmospheric and personal place to stay then this is it .Perfectly sited for all of the restaurants and other attractions . Andy, Daniel and Andrea made each guest feel very special and it is obvious why fellow guests we met were all on their third visit here. Perfect town with perfect accommodation.

Had a wonderful stay here.
Next time 5 days would be easy to fill and relax .
Our hosts were very helpful. Great breakfast. Easy walking to nice bars and restaurants. Good boat ride to long sandy beach.

This was our second time to stay in this wonderful guesthouse. So impressed were we with everything about it that we couldn't wait to visit again. We've just come back from an eight night stay and cannot recommend it highly enough. Every comfort is provided, Andy and the staff are so welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to make sure guests feel at home. Everyone seems to leave with the same thought-a desire to come back.

Room Tip: All good rooms, comfortable beds , large shower area

Calcada guesthouse is a little treasure and I can't recommend it highly enough. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and stylishly decorated with some lovely little touches like a bottle of fresh filtered water in your room each day. The guesthouse is situated in the old town of Tavira, quite close to the Roman Bridge and is within easy walking distance of everywhere in the town. There is a spacious indoor lounge for the use of residents with coffee and tea available to make all day. Upstairs is a pretty terrace where breakfast is served (unless the weather is poor.) Guests can choose whether or not to have breakfast as it is not automatically included in the room rate, but I would certainly recommend that you do because they are delicious. Andy and Tamsin are great hosts and their staff are so helpful and friendly. I have no hesitation in saying that the Calcada guesthouse is fab.

Tiny little back street entrance that opens up into a wonderful spacious home from home. Tea and coffee on tap, comfortable beds lovely rooms and a really lovely breakfast. Chatty helpful staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. We would definitely go back.
