“A very special place”
Reviewed 9 May 2015 for a stay in August 2013

I stayed here for a week at the end of August. It really is a very special place. Tucked well away from the frenetic tourism of much of Greece in the summer months, it draws you into an entirely different, slower and more simple pace of life. At the same time, if you want to spice things up a bit, all you need do is stroll out to the castro where there are plenty of small shops, cafes and restaurants. Despite the time of year when I visited, the heat was by no means unbearable. We could walk to a beach which was almost always virtually empty and drive to several others; sometimes, for a change, we would simply go swimming and diving off the rocks. The cottage itself is perfect - spotlessly clean, simple, stylish and extremely well thought out. Shopping for food in the nearby village is a real pleasure. This is the sort of place that leaves you with happy memories you know will last.

“An unforgetable idealic, relaxing holiday in a beautiful traditional Greek stone cottage with all mod cons.”

We had a wonderful family holiday in this special , traditional Greek cottage. The neighbors were particularly friendly and welcoming. The cottage is in a quiet part of Monemvasia, but close enough to the shops and Restaurants of this pretty harbour village.and within walking distance of the Casro. The Castro is a magical place of tiny cobbled streets with cosy, intimate restaurants with twinkling lights and traditional Greek shops. It has a friendly and vibrant atmosphere. An ideal place to eat, drink and wander.
The cottage has all necessary facilities including a fully equipped kitchen where we were able to have home cooked meals on the terrace with views of the Mediterranean. The bedroom had air conditioning which made for a comfortable nights sleep. There is a rustic garden where we were able to pick lemons and figs from the trees, which the children really loved.
The cottage is within a 10 minute walk to the beach which has a fresh water shower
.An alternative beach is the pretty, quiet Pori beach which has a bar ,with sun loungers and umbrellas that are always available At sunset each evening the barman came with Mojitos, which was a lovely surprise.
This was an unforgettable holiday and we would love to go back again.
