The check-inn outstanding. You are greeted by a very dedicated and service minded man in the reception. Informed about all important stuff / details about the Hotel. We were located in a junior suite at the beach house, which is 100 Meters from main building. The reception-man showed us around the main building, wellness area and the he walked backwards all the way to the beach house, explaining about the area, restaurants etc.

The room turned out to be in two floors, with the most magnificent sea view. The beach house very original and historic.

Very clean with B&O TV, great wifi. Comfortable bed, however it was two single beds put together. Coffee facilities and drinking water available. However I missed a fridge. There was signal dropout on the TV, and when it happens during World Cup, you get annoyed. Thank god for the iPad.

There is a fantastic balcony with great view, no chairs??

The room 1,5
Minute from beach, which is magnificent.

Breakfast. When you compare with similar Hotels in Germany, the Breakfast comes out ordinary.

Hot breakfast is cocked to order at the table, and even the fact that the girls serving, out in a great effort, many orders was missed or served wrong.
The quality of breakfast is very good, but the selection limited. Compared.

Will we return? Without a doubt!!

A very nice typical Danish seaside hotel. with a very dimmed luxury. We were well received and shown around the hotel upon arrival. Very nice though untrained service in the resturant. However, there is a lack of communication between the resturant and the front desk, where we had to make mistakes in the bill.

We only had one night at Ruths Hotel but could have easily stayed longer. I'm glad we managed to book a room in the main hotel which had a balcony with sea view glimpses. The staff were extremely welcoming and from the moment you walked into reception there was a sense of 'hygge'. If you are looking to stay in the heart of Skagen, this place isn't for you. However, if you want to a short walk to the dramatic nordic beaches of Jutland in a warm, cosy environment with well appointed rooms with personal touches, I highly recommend Ruth's Hotel.

Ruths Hotel is one of those wonderful hotels with a location to match . Gamle Skagen is an old fishing village and a place for summer gatherings of the best Nordic painters at the end of 1800 . The hotel with surrounding buildings is owned by a foundation belonging to one of Denmark's richest families being the founders and main owners of G4S . The hotel has great rooms , common area , fitness and wellness center and a great brasseri. In the town of Skagen you find some charming hotels , some fine museums and restaurants . The international cruise ships are starting to call Skagen . Skagen / Gamle Skagen are among the great places to visit in Denmark and Ruths Hotel a great place to stay .

Room Tip: This is a very quiet location . All the rooms are fine but sea view that little extra .

Our second stay at this unique, historic hotel, and each time it grows on us. As last time we opted for a spacious junior suite on the first floor of the main building with easy access to both restaurants and the spa.
The uniqueness of the hotel reflects a combination of: a relaxed holiday atmosphere, an upscale clientèle (it is not cheap), a high quality of service throughout (unfortunately a rarity in Denmark), and two restaurants.
The Brasserie, where we had dinner regularly offers a French inspired menu, based on mainly local ingredients and very well prepared. Our only complaint concerned the seafood platter, with fresh oysters, delicious langoustines, mussels in a creamy Normandy broth, but then a pile of frozen shrimp! Needless to say, when you are surrounding by the open sea on three sides, that was a disappointment.
Still, for us it remains one of the best addresses in Denmark.
