Decided to visit as a guide said that it was the highest point in Riga to get a panoramic view of the city and its surrounds. Paying €9.00 each we went up in a lift prior to walking up at least 6 flights of stairs.
Lift is pretty slow and whilst it can carry 10 people the lift operator allows around 8.
The platform at the top is very small and narrow which makes for a very squeezy situation.
Photographs need to be taken through the bars that surround this platform.
Whilst the views are stunning the experience in fighting others on this platform is very frustrating. Question whether payment is worth it.

The price to go up is expensive. When upstairs there are lots of people and a struggle is necessary to see anything.

The view is stunning and the insight to just how chaotic Riga looks is quite informative.

The tower offers good views of the old town, albeit at a hefty entrance fee, which is charged in addition to any entry for the church itself. After climbing 3 storeys a lift then takes you to the top and the views are certainly worth it all.

The view from St Peter's Church Tower is spectacular. You get to see the whole Riga 360 degrees. And it was really freezing up there!!!
However, the fee to get in this scary elevator is too much. And i think that whatever is addressed to the tourists in Riga is unreasonably expensive (eg fridge magnets cost 4-5€... not even in Paris or London do you have to pay such a price...)
