“An amazing place to stay!!!”
Reviewed 11 January 2012

I don't have too much say – it is super! I hadn't thought I'd return again, having been a guest at other 5 star Riga hotels, that I felt that are on same level, the Gallery Park seemed more genuine and took a greater interest in our return visit and was genuinely glad to have me back for a second visit .Although I did not take the expensive suite this time, we were treated with great generosity, an exquisite accommodation, lovely hotel, great location, great food, great staff!

And the Christmas decorations were marvelous!

Room Tip: All rooms that i saw were perfect!

Superior double room on the 4th floor had no windows (just glass "box" below the ceiling that we couldn't open). There was an awful smell in the bathroom. The room was not cosy at all. Parking at the hotel 25 EUR per night. The rest was like a 5-star hotel...

Visited the hotel during Christmas and New Year. The bathroom renovated and nice, but no bathtub as depicted in the brochures. A nice little spa area, beautifully tiled and pleasant lighting, sauna and small swimming pool. Spa area and be served breakfast table in the room - was the best thing about the hotel.
Location central but 10 minutes away from downtown, high traffic noise from the two sides of the room. View road and the tram! Had booked a deluxe room and got a room that did not live up to the descriptions of extra-large space - large bed, a desk and a TV bench, two simple dining room chairs must be regarded as an ordinary room. In addition, dark colors and with a lot of traffic noise. No coffee maker or music - just local channels in addition to international news on TV
Within 5 days stay, we met only 2 other guests. No sitting at the bar, no one in the dining room - there was no life whatsoever in the hotel. The staff was friendly and said hello - and the only people we saw.
We arrived after midnight, 27, was guided in and explained about breakfast offer and stated that we wanted breakfast served in your room the next day, possible this was not cleared well enougt? - When we called the front desk the next day to ask for breakfast, we had no problem with breakfast - but we were charged full price for this (more than 400 Norwegian crown). Departure day 1 January we had received a letter in the room that breakfast would be served only after 9 o'clock this day. We did not have time to eat breakfast before departure when our plane left early - I asked about that breakfast we had to pay the extra cost, could be offset against your breakfast we missed 1.1 (had prepaid for breakfast every day), this was impossible, even the lady at the reception tried to call a manager to check if it was possible.
So unfortunately - despite friendly staff and nice spa, a hotel that does not live up to its 5 stars. Small and dark rooms, no visible activity or other guests - nice and old, but definitely not a hotel to visit again. The only 5 stars I can hand out, go to the friend I shared the hotel with!
Riga city had much to offer, organ concert in the Riga Dome, jazz, cozy pubs - good food, good drinks and many beautiful buildings in Art Nouveau style

Ideal location and lovely hotel with very impressive interior. We stayed here for 4 nights to visit the old town and the christmas markets. We felt completely safe whilst in Riga. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom had a heated floor so very nice touch. The breakfast room was beautiful, along with the breakfast. You had the usual cereal/fruits/yoghurts then a choice of light cooked breakfast ie omelette/poached eggs. The hotel does have a small swimming pool and sauna, the only disappointment was that the pool was cold - I like them warm.. the sauna was excellent. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Riga, unfortunately we didnt get much snow, which was really unusual for the time of year.

We're very happy we chose this hotel for our weekend in Riga. Great breakfast, lovely interiors, clean&quiet. However, there are some things that lacked to make it a true 5star:
A. Just 1 pillow for each bed, we had to call to get extras.
B. No iron/iron board. Had to call for that.
C. No tea cups/water boiler.
Those little things that makes a difference. But other than that great service, great place and we will consider this hotel if we are to visit this city again.
