I stayed here for 3 nights in April 2012 and I have nothing but praise. It is located in the Old Town. It is a 2 minute walk to the Town Hall Square. The oldest Apothecary in continuous use is a 1 minute walk. Across the street are 3 excellent Italian restaurants and in the hotel itself, the Tchaikovsky Restaurant was just voted best restaurant in Talinn.
The room I had was a good size. I loved the antique mirrors. Something I've never seen in any other hotel was a "service closet" - a closet that can be opened from the hallway and inside your room. You can put your room service tray here instead of leaving it on the floor outside the door like other hotels. You can also put clothes that need to be laundered here,
The service was impeccable - for the hotel and the restaurant. Everyone, from the receptionists to the porters, waitresses to housekeeping - they were all very helpful.
The breakfast was very good. You have a choice between the buffet or made to order omelettes and eggs benedict. Dinner at the Tchaikovsky was flawless. Order the pavlova for dessert!
My thanks to everyone in the staff for making my Talinn vacation a great one!More
