Beautiful hotel in old world surroundings. Stayed for three nights and was treated really well. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The staff were so friendly and efficient. Food was excellent. The spa was just what we needed after a day sightseeing.I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

In Tallinns beautiful old town - a grand hotel. From the spa, located in a patio on the groundfloor, you can look up and see the sky. A different concept than having the spa in the 31st floor and looking down on the earth. Very welcoming hotel, and several good restaurants in close distance like Elevant.

So its well reviewed for sure for good reason. Probably the better of all the hotels in Tallinn in my opinion -- mostly for the service, but also location and charm. I only stayed in rooms in the old wing. Although a lot of people advocate the modern wing because "of the modern rooms", really I like staying in the old wing as that is the reason why I love the city and the hotel -- the old charm. So I personally am not interested in modern digs in this hotel. But if you are looking for bigger rooms without paying for a suite -- perhaps the new wing is for you. Breakfast is a killer, best in the city. You are walking distance to everything. Its good for business too, not just tourist.

Ribe Restaurant across the street is a great choice for dinner without going far. All along Vene Street are some good choices nearby as well. Try AED Restaurant. Book a reservation first. It serves all organic food in wonderful setting and its a great deal as well. For fantastic pub try The Drink Baar as well (hint, they have a beer shop around back on the outside so you can buy some amazing beers to bring back to the room). Much better then loud and touristy Molly's on the square. If you need a full work out, try the Kalev Spa around the corner - it also has great splash park inside for kids.

This hotel is absolutely perfect....From the nice rooms, the food, the spa and the staff.
Breakfast was really good with alot of choices and we had lunch outside in the garden in the sun and the food was excellent with good prices.
Used the spa for treatments and the pool with jacuzzi and 2different saunas....absolutely perfect spa.
The location is perfect...50meters from the big square in the middle of the city.
We went to a cousy restaurant called LeBonaparte...great food and service....cremebrulee was the best i have had:-)
Overall the best hotell in tallinn and we would love to go there again.

This hotel used to be a telegraph exchange building for Tallinn. The decor and architecture have been renovated but the "old" feel and look has been wonderfully maintained. As for the hotel experience, expect to be blown away by the courteous staff. Our room was spacious, cozy and quiet. Most quiet air conditioning ever at a hotel. The building is located near all of the touristic locations in a short 2-15 minute walk, and a close cab ride (or a bit longer walk) to the port. This hotel is perfect for tourists - not sure for business travellers. The hotel also features a luxurious russian-cuisine restaurant. The basement features a spa, pool, dry sauna and steam sauna - tons of towels at the pool so no need to bring your towels from the room. I think what I remember most about this hotel is its location and decor - definitely gives the entire experience a luxurious feel. A must-stay for travellers looking to travel in-style.
