Here, in Lower Town of old part of Tallinn, we visited one more very interesting museum, regarding the rich history of the whole country Estonia. It is located in Pikk street, that I've already mentioned as one street full of galleries, cafes and antique shops.
This history museum is settled in one very nice old buiding, that is, so called Great Guild Hall, since the place and much more than that, belonged to members of the Great Guild in 15th century, the married German merchants, who controlled in these times the Town Council.
But not only that this hulking, gabled hall with the gigantic porch and lion's head door knockers impresses You at the very first sight, here is also one permanent exposition, which show how the Estonian-dwellers lived, fought and survived through 11000 years.
The films and interactive displays make a great deal in helping visitors to understand and see more clearly the passed history of Estonia.
Not to miss when in Old Town.
